Danielle Wood is a student at Howard University pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry on the Pre-Pharmacy track (Class of 2028). She began her research journey as a Dow SURE Scholar during the 2025–2026 academic year. Passionate about organic chemistry, Danielle has a strong interest in pharmaceutical research.

As a 5 For the Fight Intern in the Mei Lab, she is eager to undergo rigorous wet-lab training, expand her research knowledge, and master new laboratory techniques while studying lipid nanoparticle synthesis.

She is also a budding entrepreneur who has managed her own hairstyling business, specializing in braiding, since the age of 14. Outside of the lab, Danielle enjoys shopping, traveling, learning, and stepping out of her comfort zone with new hobbies.
